Selected Sub-Grantees of the Call for Projects Aiming at Countering Hate Speech and Improving Representation of Diversity

Innovative Media, as part of the Reporting Diversity Network – The new Agenda project, is pleased to announce the organizations selected under the Open Call for Project Applications aiming to counter hate speech and improve representation of diversity in North Macedonia.

The following five civil society organizations have been awarded sub-grants:

  1. Association for Assistive Technology Open the Windows for the implementation of the project entitled “Accept, Act, Make a Change!”
  2. Helsinki Committee for Human Rights Skopje for the implementation of the project entitled “Red Card for Hate: Respect the Game!”
  3. Organization for Cultural Collaboration INTERKULTURA Skopje for the implementation of the project entitled “Words that Leave Scars”          
  4. Public – Association for Research, Communications and Development for the implementation of the project entitled “Voices of Inclusion: From Zerovjane to the Nation”
  5. Stella Network for the implementation of the project entitled “ReFrame: Stories That Bridge”

These grantees were chosen for their ability to contribute to the objectives of the call, which include raising the visibility and media representation of women’s and minority rights’ issues, countering polarizing narratives, strengthening the role of local CSOs and fostering respect for social diversity.

The signing of the sub-granting contracts took place on 17 September 2025 in Skopje, where representatives of the selected grantees came together for a training session on financial and narrative reporting. This session was designed to equip the organizations with the skills and knowledge needed to manage their grant funds properly and report effectively on their projects.
